Women from across the franchising sector attended the first joint Empowering Women in Business (EWIB) and Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) Awards 2026.

The one-day event began with EWIB offering educational content, followed by the EWiF Awards celebrating women in the sector.

Speakers at EWIB ranged from experienced women in franchising offering words of wisdom, to former hostage negotiator, Suzanne Williams QPM, teaching attendees to have confidence in their own decisions during difficult conversations.

Double award win for Basking Babies founder
Basking Babies founder, Carla Davison, was a double award winner being crowned Woman Franchisor of the Year and Overall Woman in Franchising at the EWiF Awards 2026.

Davison’s awards reflected not only the continued growth of Basking Babies, but also the supportive, community-led culture she has built across its franchise network of classes that support parents from pregnancy to pre-school.
