Snap-on Tools to raise funds and awareness of prostate cancer

8 July 2025

Snap-on Tools is proud to announce a new partnership with Prostate Cancer UK. Together, they’re setting out to make a difference for men across the UK and Ireland, starting with raising awareness and pushing for action, ‘Giving every man the power to navigate prostate cancer’.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with one in eight being diagnosed, yet early detection saves lives.

As a brand deeply connected to industries traditionally dominated by men, Snap-on knows how vital it is to break down barriers and talk about men’s health. That’s why it is supporting Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness of their Prostate Cancer Risk Checker – a quick, simple tool that empowers men to understand their risk and take control of their health.

Snap-on’s £200k donation goal per year
Snap-on isn’t stopping there and will be fundraising throughout 2025 with a goal of raising £200,000 per year for the charity. It aims to achieve this ambitious target through events and competitions as well as introducing special products, promotions and merchandise from which a percentage of sales will be donated.

Byron Miltz, UK managing director of Snap-on Tools, said: “We believe men deserve proactive health screening measures for prostate cancer.

“Prostate Cancer UK has launched a £42m research programme – the TRANSFORM trial – to find the best way to screen men for prostate cancer, so one day all men at risk will be invited for regular tests to find aggressive cancers in time for cure. Our fundraising will support their mission to change lives.”

Dr Matthew Hobs, Prostate Cancer UK director of research, said: “12,000 men die of prostate cancer each year and it’s the most common cancer that doesn’t have a national screening programme. It’s about time that changed.”

Why it matters
Every man is at risk of prostate cancer, especially those over 50, those with a family history, and Black men who are disproportionately affected.

With the UK’s current lack of routine screening, too many lives are lost because the disease is caught too late. As part of this partnership, Snap-on is calling on everyone in the franchise community to:

  • Spread the word: Share the Risk Checker with your loved ones.
  • Join the campaign: Help advocate for action on screenings.
  • Support the cause: Run fundraising events and initiatives to aid the charity.

Miltz added: “We’re calling for your support to turn awareness into action! By standing with Prostate Cancer UK, we’re committed to helping save lives, drive conversations, and make change happen.

“Together, we can ensure no man is left in the dark when it comes to his health.”

If you can, please give a donation, no matter how small.
